WATER
WELLS Winslow Pump &
Well, Inc. can give you a selection of wells to choose
from to meet your demands, needs and budget.
TYPES OF WELLS
Standard 4" Well - has
a 4" PVC, main casing, 2" or 4" PVC slotted screen
at the bottom of the well to allow water to enter.
New Jersey commercial filter sand installed around
the screen for filtering / sand control, and
Bentonite grout slurry pumped on the outside of main
casing to seal the well from surface water
contamination.
Deluxe 4½" Well
- has 4½" PVC main casing, and 4" PVC slotted
screen. Grout and filter sand are the same as
our standard well.
Note: Stainless steel screen can
be installed in some areas at customer's request.
PUMP SIZING
Pumps are sized by three main factors:
1. The actual well
production of water measured in gallons per minute
2. Demand or need of the customer
3. Depth to the water from the land surface
(static water level)
Pumps are rated in horsepower
and gallons per minute with a wide selection to choose
from.
PUMPING SYSTEMS
Standard Pumping System
- will vary depending on static water level from ½
HP to 1 HP. Seven (7) to ten (10) gallons per
minute is typical for a 2½ bath, 3 bedroom home or
smaller with a matched 32 gallon bladder storage tank.
Upgrade Pumping Package
- would include larger HP pump and larger bladder
storage tank.
Deluxe Pumping System -
would have the energy efficient variable speed pump.
The pump runs at low rpm's and low energy when there
is low demand and increased rpm's to maintain a
constant pressure similar to city water. The
system uses a very small wall-mounted bladder tank,
freeing up more usable floor space.
Green Pumping Options -
for remote sites or individuals leaving the power
grid. We have solar, wind or a combination of
the two pumping systems available.
We will offer you a selection
of options with pricing and advantages of each.
